Are you a CAS first year student? Have you ever wondered about how you were going to meet the academic demands of college or find your community?
If this sounds like you, then you should apply to the AAP Big Brother/Big Sister Program!
All incoming College of Arts and Science first-year students accepted into AAP have the opportunity to be paired with an upper-class mentor (Big Brother or Big Sister). Mentors have a GPA of 3.0 or above and provide guidance around academics and student life.
They do this in a variety of ways including:
- Regular check-ins
- Updates about different academic events put together by AAP, like our regular Study Nights in Bobst and various informative workshops throughout the year.
- In person outings with mentees twice a semester (e.g., example outings have included the High Line, Ice Cream, etc.)
- End of the semester dinner with mentors and mentees
