The College of Arts and Science offers various opportunities for students to pursue coursework in other divisions of NYU.
Cross-School Minors
From its position at the center of a major university, the College of Arts and Science (CAS) is able to offer a variety of minors in partnership with NYU's professional schools. These minors, which are open to all CAS students, are either partly or wholly composed of courses from participating schools outside of CAS.
Accelerated Bachelor's-Master's Programs
There are several ways that CAS students may begin earning credit towards a Master's degree while still pursuing undergraduate studies. Our accelerated, combined degree programs allow students to complete a Master's in less time and at a lower cost than is normally required. Students in these programs begin graduate coursework while still in CAS and then apply that coursework towards designated Master's programs in NYU's Graduate School of Arts and Science, Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, and Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development.
Dual Degree Program in Science and Engineering
This dual degree program between CAS and the NYU Tandon School of Engineering offers highly qualified and motivated students who are technically oriented the opportunity to pursue both a liberal arts program with a major in science and a traditional engineering program. Upon completion of this five-year program, students receive the Bachelor of Science degree from CAS and the Bachelor of Science degree from the School of Engineering.
