Three elective courses in neural science (including V80.0303) and one upper level course in either psychology or biology are also required. Students should see the director of undergraduate studies for approval of elective choices. Prehealth students must take, in addition, V85.0011, V25.0243-0245, and V25.0244-0246. A grade of C or better in Introduction to Neural Science is required for entrance into the major; a grade of C or better must be achieved in all other courses required for the major. The following courses are recommended: V25.0243 and V25.0244.

HONORS PROGRAM

To graduate with honors in neural science, students must achieve a grade point average of 3.65 or better for courses required for the major and 3.65 for all other courses taken for credit. Students must complete at least one semester of V80.0301 with a faculty member affiliated with the Center for Neural Science. Admittance to the lab courses associated with V80.0201 and V80.0202 is assured and required only for students in the Honors track.
