Congratulations to Hany Abdallah, CAS `08 who received the NYU Alumni Association Athlete of the Year Award on May 14.  Hany, pictured above with President John Sexton and NYUAA President Jonathan Herman, majored in philosophy and minored in chemistry had graduated earlier in the day at NYU’s historic Commencement at Yankee Stadium. 

Hany ran cross country and track and was on the NYU men's cross country team that won its first-ever NCAA Division III National Championship in November 2007. 

He is a 7-time All-American, 3-time 1st team All-UAA, 15-time UAA Athlete of the Week, 3- time UAA champion, and holds 4 NYU records at 3000 meters, 5000 meters and 10000 meters.
