Dean's Advisory Board
The CAS Dean's Advisory Board (DAB) was created 10 years ago and provides an opportunity for students to improve the quality of life in the College at both the academic and social levels. In recent years, the DAB has worked on such issues as revisions to the academic curriculum, campus communication, internships, academic advising, student services, and international and undergraduate research.
The Board consists of twenty students: nine appointed from important College constituencies (Class Advisory Boards, Academic Achievement Program, Scholar Groups, Student Council, etc.) and eleven at-large members. Board meetings are normally scheduled for the early evening three times each semester. Because student's input is essential to the Board's success, members must have a commitment to attend each meeting and to participate in the discussions and follow-up activities.
Students may apply for one of the eleven at-large positions each fall by completing an application that can be obtained at the Dean's office (Room 909A, Silver Center).
