Join Dean Gene Andrew Jarrett and fellow alumni at the College of Arts and Science Dean’s Luncheon and for the presentation of the CAS Alumni Achievement Award to two distinguished recipients:
Journalist Carole A. Carmichael (ARTS ’72), an Assistant Managing Editor for The Seattle Times from 1998 until 2016 and a former Visiting Journalist Fellow at the Russell Sage Foundation and the late Christopher “Tripp” Zanetis (CAS ’03), a FDNY Fire Marshal and Air National Guard Pilot who was killed in the line of duty in March. President Hamilton said of Tripp, "As NYU's president, I often talk in speeches and at parents meetings of the type of student we hope to nurture here at NYU—leaders committed to public service, engaged with their communities, and dedicated to making a positive impact in the world. I could not imagine a better example of that ideal student than Tripp."
