CAS Office of Academic Affairs Mission:
The CAS Office of Academic Affairs services the College by supporting academic goals and initiatives. The Office’s main responsibilities include overseeing the governance of academic policies and procedures, fostering curricular excellence and innovation, and guiding learning outcomes assessment and iterative improvement of academic programs across NYU’s global network. We partner with over 45 departments and programs, to offer over 60 majors and over 60 minors across the humanities, social sciences, and sciences. The Office also administers the First-Year Seminar program, foreign language exams, professional development opportunities, and the CAS Bulletin process. We, along with the Offices of the CAS Dean, Advising, Student Affairs, and the College Core, are located on the 9th floor of the Silver Building.
