The 2021-2022 Committee Application opens at http://cas.nyu.edu/prehealth/apply

Submit Part I as soon as possible to gain access to Part II, which will take more time to complete. Submissions are processed in the order they are received and it may take up to five business days for you to gain access to Part II after submitting Part I. 

Note: Students who have interviewed with the Committee in the past or have previously applied to professional schools DO NOT complete a new Prehealth Committee Application. Updates are requested in lieu of a new application. The update protocol will be revised by January.

This is the final day to submit Part I to start a Committee Application this year. We recommend starting well in advance of this date.

The Prehealth Committee Application is due at 11:59 PM. 

Interview scheduling period for applicants who submitted the Prehealth Committee Application by the February 1 deadline. 

February - May 2022 

Interviews with members of the Committee on Evaluations to Schools of the Health Professions are conducted. Use the services of the Wasserman Center for Career Development to prep for your interview!

Research individual health professional schools and compile a list of prospective programs.

Begin working on Primary applications, such AMCAS, AACOMAS, and AADSAS. Texas residents complete the TMDSAS.

Suggested deadline for letters of evaluation for Summer 2022 applicants to health professions programs. Committee Letters will not be sent until all anticipated evaluations have been received and reciepted. 

The first date applicants can request their Committee on Evaluation be sent to centralized application services. Requests made before your centralized application has been submitted will not be processed. We will begin processing requests on the first business day following.

Plan to submit AADSAS, AMCAS and/or AACOMAS application.

Once Spring 21 grades are posted, request your official transcript to be sent by NYU's Registrar to centralized application services.

Note: AMCAS and most other services now take electronic transcripts; applicants should view the special instructions here regarding electronic transcripts

Begin to receive and respond to secondary applications from professional schools. Make every effort to submit them within 2 weeks of receiving them.

Deadline for Summer 2022 applicants to request the submission of an initial Committee Letter to health professions programs or centralized application services. Applicants who requested an initial committee letter prior to this date can continue to add application services.

Deadline for MD Early Decision applications.

Prepare to interview.
