CAS Welcome is a series of events hosted by different departments at CAS that are open to all new incoming CAS students as well as any current students. Declaration Day, Wednesday, March 9th (all day)
A CAS Tradition in its 4th year! Undeclared Second-Year Students should formally declare their major(s) with their departments. Upon completing the declaration process, students will receive digital swag and the much coveted departmental enamel pins to share their CAS pride! Refer to departmental procedures here to find out how to declare your major.

Diversity Undergraduate Research Incubator Applications due March 28th
The Diversity Undergraduate Research Incubator (DURI) connects CAS undergraduates from diverse backgrounds to GSAS doctoral student mentors to collaborate on original research. DURI undergraduates will design and complete projects in the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences. In addition to learning how to conduct original research, DURI undergraduates will gain awareness of how to prepare for graduate training or careers involving research. Undergraduate researchers will receive a $3000 stipend.

Wasserman Career Readiness Course
Gain a helpful understanding of how values, identities, and priorities can align with future work and career decisions, in this new asynchronous NYU course. Participants will develop a greater understanding of the job search process, including how to create effective materials, build networks, evaluate job offers, and negotiate salaries. Violet Ready Career Toolbox
The Violet Ready Career Toolbox is a series of three self-paced, interactive career development lessons. This course is a great way for undergraduate students to learn some of the most important components of any job or internship search. The three lessons, which each take about 20 minutes to complete, included in this course are: Resume Basics, Cover Letter Basics and Interview Basics.
