What is a College Leader?

Attend Spring, Fall, and January Trainings
Facilitate planned sessions for your cohort during CAS Orientation
Work with an academic advisor during the Fall and Spring Semesters to lead bi-weekly cohort meetings
Plan and execute cohort events that follow the four overarching themes of the Cohort Program: Academic Success, Personal and Career Development, Community Engagement, and Leadership Experience
Attend and participate in bi-weekly staff meetings with other Cohort Leaders and the Leadership Team

Must be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate in the College of Arts and Science
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Good academic and disciplinary standing
Demonstrate a mature, responsible, and professional demeanor, and excellent communication skills
Desire to serve as a leader and a role model
Display a willingness to plan activities for cohorts
Capacity to attend all trainings, orientation, and cohort events
Note: College Leaders cannot simultaneously be a Welcome Week Leader, a Commuter Assistant, Resident Assistant, or Proud to be First Mentor

Gain tangible event planning experience while building cohort community and a CAS identity
Financial compensation in the form of a bi-weekly stipend
Leadership experience that will prepare you + strengthen your candidacy for future leadership roles in and outside NYU
Early move-in to residence hall before Welcome Week for on-campus students, pending COVID-related university health and safety regulations
