Academic Success
Students will declare their major by the end of the academic year.
Students will establish a connection with their respective academic departments by the end of their second year.
Students will learn how to leverage their CAS major in preparation for post-graduation career opportunities.
Personal and Career Development
Students participating in the Leadership Development Series (LDS) will learn effective career-related goal setting strategies and gain the transferable skills necessary to achieve these goals.
Students participating in the Global Leadership Development Series will learn to leverage their study away experience in their career development process.
Students will have opportunities to connect with CAS alumni through the Alumni Mentor Program.
Community Engagement
Students will have opportunities to connect with the larger campus through the Second-Year Class Board’s on-campus, large-scale events.
Students will have opportunities to connect with the larger NYC and surrounding community through the fall semester Cohort President off-campus trip and the spring semester Global Leader off-campus trip.
Leadership Experience
Students will gain self-awareness of their leadership style and leverage their strengths to work effectively on a team through the Leadership Development Series and the Global Leadership Development Series.
Students will have the opportunity to develop their leadership skills through intentional experiential learning opportunities in Leadership Development Series and the Global Leadership Development Series.
Students will have the opportunity to implement leadership skills through leadership positions within CAS and the greater NYU Community.
