As part of NYU’s Postbacc Program, you agree to meet the following expectations:
Must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA within the postbacc program.
Must participate in at least one (1) clinical and/or research experience while in the postbacc program.
Must complete the postbacc program within nine (9) semesters (including summers), which equals three (3) years, of starting the program. Any time off will be counted as part of these nine semesters.
Once matriculated into the program, must start in the semester you were offered admission to (no deferrals allowed).
- Once matriculated into the program, may not take any of the core science courses elsewhere. Doing so will prevent you from earning a postbacc certificate at NYU. If you have extenuating circumstances, please schedule a meeting with the Postbacc Program Director to discuss.
- Must meet with an advisor to discuss any course withdrawals or time off. Otherwise, these electronic requests will not be approved.
- Only postbacc students who have completed the NYU Postbacc Program with a 3.0 GPA and who have applied and been approved for graduation from the program will be allowed to receive a Committee Letter of Evaluation. Even if a committee interview was previously conducted, unless the NYU Postbacc certificate was officially awarded a Committee Letter of Evaluation from NYU will not be written and/or submitted as part of your application to health professional programs.
