The suggested curriculum plans below are designed to provide you with a solid foundation in the sciences. Success in these courses and their lab component, coupled with hands-on clinical and research experiences, has been shown to create well-rounded and successful candidates to health professional schools. Typically, students need two years to complete all of the science prerequisite courses for medical or dental school (allied health professions may take longer than two years).

For students seeking to prepare for PA, PT, DVM and other programs, we will work with you to design an appropriate curriculum. Students should research programs they are interested in applying to prior to meeting with an advisor to have a good idea of prerequisites, as these may vary greatly from school to school.

Fall Start

All students accepted to the program must successfully satisfy the precalculus course requirement prior to enrolling in any of the science courses.

We strongly encourage applicants to complete Precalculus prior to entering the program. However, if the student has little to no math background, the NYU-equivalent "precalculus" course will be included in your curriculum plan.
