Originally from northern California, I'm an environmental studies student (yes, a B.A.) which allows me to write essays and join lively debates in the classroom while also coding sea level rise models and measuring groundwater levels outside of the classroom! I've spent the last two summers in the Philippines and the United Arab Emirates immersing myself into agriculture and sea level rise research, and I've also studied abroad in Australia for a semester. While I was there, I worked at the Sydney Fish Market doing research for their in-house organization, Oceanwatch Australia, dedicated to biodiversity conservation. My college journey has covered so many topics and countries, and I'm so excited to continue it. Every day, I spend two hours doing what I've loved most since I was fourteen: weightlifting. This sport has been with me ever since I was a freshman in high school, and over the years, it has built in me the work ethic that's reflected in each of my projects.
