I’m a sophomore studying Psychology and interested in exploring how underlying neural mechanisms can explain social interactions. I come from Bombay, India. With an early inclination towards psychological research, I assisted research in the RISE Lab at Steinhardt to study and improve behavioral outcomes for at-risk adolescent girls from vulnerable populations. Currently, I'm involved with Dr. Joshua Aronson to explore neurofeedback and its implications. I recently joined the Freeman Lab to assist research related to trait perception. I’m interested in using neurobiology as a tool to understand social psychological processes like racial/caste/religious discrimination, prejudice, and the social bonding. I plan to explore my research interests as an undergraduate and eventually pursue a PhD. In addition to exploring science, I enjoy poetry, ethnic art, Sufi music, dog-watching, feminist literature, and everything Bollywood.
